I’m installing a motogadget mo.view Bar-End Adapter (Universal) into my Renthal handlebars (14 mm ID) and I’ve run into a problem. The adapter is about halfway in and now completely stuck. I’ve tried tapping it with a rubber mallet, but I really don’t want to break anything by forcing it.
What’s also throwing me off is that the outer diameter of the adapter measures about 16 mm, while Motogadget says these adapters fit handlebars with a 12–16 mm ID. Since my Renthals are 14 mm ID, I’m wondering if the fit is just too tight, or if I’m missing something others have done to get them fully seated.
Has anyone run into this? Any tricks or prep work needed before installation?
