Hey there yall,
So i'm trying to figure out a smooth solution to this problem, the Kerker muffler I got on my 78 CB750F has a hole eaten out of the bottom due to rust. I came across another kerker muffler (w/o baffle) in fantastic shape and is the exact same shape and angle as mine; however, the mounting tab is in an exact wrong position and when rotated to the correct angle it sits on the bottom facing into the bike... of course.
I'm hoping to use this new muffler as a super easy fix for the hole in the current one, because it's perfect, but I need a way to mount it to the bike somehow. I was curious if anyone has come up with good looking solutions without having to weld on a new tab (So I don't have to get the thing re-chromed, although i'm sure i could mount a tab on the inside where no one would see raw metal).
I was thinking a stainless/chrome clamp or something that would fit around the end of the muffler so I could attach a bracket to hold it up. This is a sketch of what i'm thinking...
Don't think it would look that bad..
This is the closest thing I could find after doing a quick google search for a part that kinda matches what i'm thinking (just without that large rectangular tab)... turns out its from some trucker store.

Anyone know of where I could get anything like this?
Other solutions would be hugely appreciated!
