Need tires & tubes installed....

I did it once on a mag wheel and had to do it twice because I pinched/popped a tube. I'll stick to just doing sportbike tires .

That being said, who do you guys use to toss on tires/tubes on wire wheels?(85 Rebel)

Either me, or myself. Being charged $60 for a tire change is BS. The more you do it the better you'll get.

You will pop the tubes a high percentage of the time especially with flat headed screw drivers or other random things around the garage you use.. I've installed onto mags and spokes. Do yourself a favor and pick up the motion pro 8" spoons, 3 of them. You won't damage the tire bead or pop the tube... Just remember when you get the tire half on and put the tube in, inflate it to about 10psi or so. This will also help prevent damage to items... With proper tools and patients it will be easier.. Try not to get frustrated. Putting tires on is not easy in anyway.

Use the ziptie method, you'll save yourself a lot of headache. Works like a charm with tubes as they are protected by the tire bead.

What is this zip tie method?

I changed out a tube on the porch of the Spring Thaw cabin using my BMW tool roll (has tire spoons in it). Was pretty easy and that was with pretty new AVON RoadRiders on.

But in general, I take mine down to the local motorcycle shop and pay $20 to have a tire mounted and balanced.

My favorite part is in the comments where the submitter mentions he dropped a wrench into the tire and didn't realize it until later.

Still, you can bet I'm going to use this to help install the tires on my 360...
