I've recently became interested in building my first cafe project. Still looking for my project bike, probably going to be a RD350 or 400. I want to use a two stroke for the build. RD is my first choice but I'm looking at T500's as well. I'm looking at Suzuki's air cooled two strokes triples as well, but I like the look of a twin motor over the triples. Any other sweet two strokes that I'm missing? Oh, and Kawi's are out of my price range.....as much as I would like one.

Don't limit yerself when looking at projects. New bikes are learning projects. Tell everyone you know and strangers you meet about your quest. Stop at every garage and yard sale and ask.

Eventually people will call YOU and sell or give you their old pieces of junk that will be your treasure.

Ironhead Sportsters can be found cheap and make cool, unique cafe bikes. But then, I'm prejudiced, an '82 IH is my next project.
