G'day all. New guy here

Just picked up a '73 cb350G, soon to be headed in the cafe direction.

Pretty good shape, but needs some work. Will turn over but wont fire at the moment. Havn't really tried all that much, as I want to sort out the electrical mess first.

Working my way back through the forums at the moment reading all the good info.

Bike is at my parents right now, until I can convince the girlfriend it needs to sleep in the spare bedroom in the condo ;D

I'd love to see the before shots ... always good to see how big the challenge is before you start.

Well, Here's the only "before" shot I have. Taken the day I brought it home. Don't get much time to play with it as It's sitting at my parents right now, until I can tear it down a bit to get it into the condo. I DID get it running though. Just bypassed the stock harness, and wired up the esentials, thumbed the starter and she fired right up (Thats how I'd like to remember it anyway).

I'm heading back this weekend to tear it down, so I'll snap a bunch of pics then (so I remember how it goes back together ;D)

Just curious, does anybody happen to have an upper triple clamp for a 73 cb350G lying around? Mines cracked (both sides). I'm assuming that the other years of the 350 wont fit, and the fork spacing would be different (disc brake on the 350G), but I could be wrong. I'm still soaking up all the info I can on these old bikes.

I'll post up a Work in progress thread over in the projects section when I get the ball rolling.

Wow,not bad at all! ;D

Much better looking than my CB200T project.
It has a front disc also, but it's a crappy and from what I hear a very ineffective one at that. That's alright as I already have a stock 19" CB350 drum braked wheel from another project that should work well on my bike. Plus my front rim and spokes are pretty far gone.
If it had a hydraulic set-up like yours and all the system and wheel needed was cleaned up/new spokes then I would go that route unless you wanted to swap-out for alloy rims or something.
