Hello All,
I've been a fan of cafe racers for the better part of a decade, but never had a bike, however in the past 2 weeks 2 project bikes have fallen into my lap. The first was a 1970 Harley Davidson M65S, made in Italy by Aermacchi.

I will be getting this (barely) running and selling it to focus on another bike, my dad's 1972 CB175.

This will be my cafe project, more specifically, it will be my cafe rat. After doing the required getting it running maintenance, I'll be reshaping the tank, debadging it as much as possible, replacing the seat with a cafe seat, getting rid of the god awful sissy bar, replacing the handlebars with clipons, switching over to pod filters, and possibly upgrading the carbs, the pipes will get taped and likely replaced and taped again. Everything will get a coat of black satin paint, and perhaps some pinstriping.

I am also working on a steampunk art Bicycle for my wife, fixing up a vintage British made Raleigh road bicycle, brewing beer, screen printing, painting up anew leather (old one smells like 15 years of clubs, smoke, and sweat - the homeless would complain about the smell) and working of various other projects (as well as working full time, and going to school part time) I will sleep when I am dead. I will document all the bike builds on the blog at XaqFixx.com, this site has been a big inspiration.

There are more pics of both bikes on my site.

I live just outside Charlotte, NC across the border in South Carolina with my wife, Cats, Dog, and roommate.

Welcome to the site! Always good to see the small cc bikes getting worked on.
I hoep they will be easier to work on, and learn to ride on than getting something bigger. Also, as they worth both free, it is a hard price to beat. Don't know if I will be able to do the ton on the Honda, I know the Harley ois out of the question, unless I fall off a cliff while riding it.

I promise you will not DTT on the 175 (at least not without some kind of NOS or a supercharger).

If there's any small parts or any questions about the Honda, let me know.
