Newbie from VA

Hello all,

I just want to say hello to everyone and looking forward to learn ton of stuff on here. Just bought my first 1974 Honda Cafe Racer 360 for $100. I don't know what I got myself into but I'm excited. I have no experience regarding rebuilding so any help you guys can provide to me will be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to send me any advice or information of where I can look for parts etc. Thanks in advance.
 
Hey bro...I'm in Northern VA, Fairfax area. To be quite honest, I have never heard of Verona haha. I had to look Verona up in wikipedia just to make sure we are in the same state. How long have you had your cb360? Also, how did you start learning on bikes? I'm trying to get pointers since this will be my very first project. I've been trying to read on everything but it's all like foreign language to me. Anyhow, nice to meet you bro.

My grandparents live in annondale and arlington, I started out with sportbikes and bought and sold a few, honda f4, 2 f4i's,600rr,gsxr750,gsxr1000, then a busa. I did the drag racing thing for awhile and my friends started spending thousands of dollars and I couldn't keep up, my busa was lowered, stretched, geared and anything else i could bolt on, including a 75 shot, they are building turbo bikes now. Then I tried stunting for awhile. I've always driven fast or cool old shit, this is the first old bike i have owned myself, I have always liked the cafe style so I figured I would build one, I've had the cb for about 3 months and have done more riding than working on it :D This is probably the most fun I have had on a motorcycle ever! 80mph on the cb feels like 180mph on any other bike, but the handling surprised me.

my best advice is to get a good set of metric tools and get it running and working right before winter comes so you can get some riding in. Then tear it down during the winter and make it your own. On mine i have installed clubmans, tires, chain, tune up, headlight, so far.

A good thread to check out is the $50 mod in the 1-800-cafe-help section, some cool ideas in there.

In case anyone's wondering what the heck a new guy like me is doing welcoming another new guy to this forum that I have made only one lonely post on... W0lf and I met on the 600rr.net forum when he expressed interest in building a vintage cafe. So I knew about this forum and told him about it and knew that he'd get a lot of help from you guys.

Anyway, I'm glad you decided to come here W0lf. I look forward to following your build.
