Hi,
I just picked up a stock '74 CB360 on a whim this last weekend. Its in pretty decent shape with some surface rust here and there. I would have taken pics but I had already started taking it apart within 30 minutes of getting it home to get the carbs cleaned up. :D
I haven't owned a bike in for years now and haven't done any major work on one since I did a frame up restoration on a 1986 FJ1200 and ended up riding in an Iron Butt rally. Even then I didn't have to do any major engine work though. I'm a little intimidated when it comes to anything more than rebuilding carbs so we'll see what I'm in for here. ;)
I'm sooo f%#^ing excited at the idea of having a bike again and this site is like a damn candy store of ideas!

Do it up! Get in there and find out whats what. Those old CBs are about as complicated as a lawn mower. Also pics of a half torn down bikes are greatly appreciated as well.

Welcome to DTT. While youre in the motor, replace the cam chain tensioner with an aftermarket or later model. Also take the head to a machine shop and have them (if you cant do it) open up and smooth all of the oil passages. Itll save ya some real headaches later. There are some great cb360 builds up here, so use the search function and check em' out! And again, welcome to the madness.

Regarding the tensioner; what year did they correct the problem? From what I could find, based on the excel file someone made and posted on this site, <http://www.hondatwins.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1836>, my serial number(s) are not on the list.
I have CB360-2100469 with a date of 12/74 on the frame and CB360E-2100440 on the case.
In any case, after I can get it running well stock, I'll have the other work done and start to really rip it apart.

Thanks
