Norton Commando style mufflers on BMW R60/5??

I'd really like to put some of these mufflers on my bike, but the OD and ID of these muffler inlets are the same as the header pipes. Without welding or changing header pipes, is there any way to make these work?... maybe an adapter that clamps around both muffler and header? Any input would be appreciated.

What is the OD of your headers? Surely there's a set of peashooters or whatever style you're looking for out there to fit. Post a pic of the mufflers you're wanting to use.

The OD is 38mm/1"1/2 in.... I've looked at the ones from dime city cycles and another place. looks like rocky point cycles have ones that fit but are out of my price range...

Stock BMW headers (aside from the r90s) are 38mm ID, so a section of 38mm OD tubing between the two would work. Sleeve the inside of each. You'd still need a means of attaching the two. Welding would be best but you'd have to get creative.
