I went outside this morning, its nice and sunny, not too warm. Seems like a beautiful day. I go downstairs, finsh putting together my rear caliper and the master cylinder i just rebuilt, all excited cos I think it's going to work and save me some dough. Come upstairs to go install them and a new set of plugs, open the door and its pouring rain...lol Did i mention how much i love ohio??

Ill bet. I did some flat roofing up in Ashtabula (sp?) couple of years ago and the weather changed on a dime up there. It was kinda cool cos where we were was RIGHT on the lake and you could watch the storm cross the lake. Where we were standing was sunny and nice but you could watch the storm roll across it and then it was raining and blowing...neat little town. And whats up with all the hot ass women in Mentor?? We stopped thru there for a say and MAN!! There must be something in the water...lol

i learned about ohio weather turning on a dime the hard way.

two winters ago i travelled from toronto to chicago to pick up a bike. left toronto in the early morning and arrived in chicago in late afternoon. it was bitterly cold but clear blue skies all day, so i didn't tarp the bike.

immediately left on the return trip to toronto and went thru cleveland about 2 in the morning, where it started to snow, and snow and snow and snow. but so what? a little water never hurt anything.

but then the salt trucks went by, and the huge transport trucks. i soon felt pretty stupid for not tarping the bike.

moral of the story is, no matter how inconvenient and redundant it might seem, always tarp a bike in the middle of winter, especially in ohio. i learned about the 'lake effect' the hard way. :-[ :'( :P
