Putting Stator rotor back on

Got it off to remove the sprocket and starter clutch but how does it go back on? I know to line up the tooth with the indent but it took some force to get off, how has everyone put it back on?

I always use an impact on low setting to seat it, then i lock the crank down (in gear won't work, clutch will slip) and torque to spec.
