Replace crank and cam chains on a cb750?

Rebuilding a sohc cb750 motor, the PO seized one of the rod to crankshaft bearings so I'm thinking thats reason enough to assume they need replacing. Am I right to think that or is there a spec I should be looking at?

Also, I'm seeing a lot of sites that have the cam chain but haven't found *new* crankshaft chains. Does anyone have a good source?

get a service manual and start measuring stuff

if you have a seized rob bearing you will need to grind the crank and resize the rod at a minimum

and find out where the ground up metal went

cyclex sells new primary chains, they're a pretty penny. as far as the rod and crank, I say screw repair, that engine is so common you could get a decent crank with the rods for $50

Primary drive chains are expensive, how many miles on the originals?
Less than 30,000 and I would re-use them (over 30,000 and I fit new even if they measure OK)
