SHE LIVES! My 1971 cb750k cafe

MBS

Live, breath, sleep HONDA!
This is the first time she has been out of the shop and running since the complete tear down, modifications and rebuild. The pics are from my brothers phone so my apologies for the quality. The resets are currently not on it, I need to find the right pieces to hook them up. Also the seat cover and foam are underway. Tell me what you think?

Thanks! Its what I could afford for a paint scheme for now. I'm happy with it.

Looks bitchin man....really dig the paint scheme as well.

From what I can see in the pics, it looks great. Try to get some better pics so we can see the full beauty. Paint scheme looks awesome.

Can you post a better pic ? I'd hate to have to drop acid here at work in order to to focus in on that blurry pic . :'(
Seems like a nice CB though.

Thanks for all the feedback. I will get some better pics up asap. just got my camera back so I'll try tomorrow.

looking good. what tank is that?

The tank is off my father in-law's cb160 cafe racer that he used to race back in the 70's so it authentic and surprisingly solid considering its been around for that long. Not sure where he got it. I'll have to ask.

Took some better pics today. Hopefully I will have the seat covered. I already made the cushion. The rearsets need to be bolted back on and hooked up. Maybe next week she will be done and on the road. Enjoy!

Thanks everyone, glad you like it. It was worth the 2 years of work. I'll post pics of the seat when its done and the rear sets. I am trying to talk to a friend of mine into making a youtube video of riding the bike - he's like a pro at editing and doing some cool stuff. I'll post it here if I can.

your bike looks great. love that tank and the front end. what did you do to the headlight? hope you get it all together soon so you can enjoy it.

Thanks for the feedback. I routed the speedo cable through the headlight bucket with a grommet I made to keep it low. I replaced the sealed beam headlight with a halogen and used a jeep stone guard to protect the headlight (cost $45 - would hate to have a rock break it on the highway) I am hoping to have it on the road this week.

Sorry for the delay on the question. Halogen I got from a later model 750 at a used motorcycle parts retailer in CT. I can't remember what model it was on. Any standard 7" halogen should fit the bucket.
