If had enough of the cvs on my cb400n and I'm thinking of going to a single carb mainly for simplicity and lack of room. What kind of carb should I run, could I use one off an xr400 or similar size single or go a certain size mikuni vm carb.also any other tricks to making a manifold I know its got to be symmetrical but any other things I should consider

vm32 or 34 32 would be a bit better for bottom end 34 for top end

try and keep the runner length of your manifold balanced with smooth turns

Are the tm34 capable of running it or the vms are better. Does any one know of a good article to read for sizing carbs for the motor

a tm will do it

they are more money and not much benefit for street use in your application if you want top end flat out power you will

get it with dual carbs not a single

the tms only shine at top end when at very high

rpm the slides also wear much faster in street use

Ok will steer clear, the bikes just a cruiser I don't expect much from it.

Would the standard carb off a mid to late 90's cr125 work on my bike, theyre a keihin pwk35 i think and theyre pretty cheap to pick up. Are they easy to tune?
I've also noticed alot of kz400 owners run them so i thought being a similar motor it should work. Also the cb400t/n are 360* crank arent they?
