SR250 fork disassembly

:'( Cant get the damn hex bolt off the outer fork! Anybody got any idea for an easy way out? Have heard of some fairly Neanderthal ways to attempt this feat!
Some more thoughtful ideas would be much appreciated bro.

Better description or a picture would help.. I'm unsure of which bolt your talking about as well.

Sounds like he's referring to the bolt at the bottom of the fork, the one that holds the inner cylinder in place. They can be difficult sometimes since the whole assembly inside tends to rotate as a unit. I've heard of people using an impact wrench. Do you have the forks partially disassembled? If so, put the springs and fork cap back on and it should keep everything in place so you can remove it. At least, that's the way I do it.

And use leverage. I changed out fork seals about 2 months ago on an SR250, stuck em in a vice, and used a 4-foot piece of pvc tube on the end of my wrench to loosen the bolt on the bottom.

Thank's guy's for the input!! I gave in in the end and took it to a shop. $40 to disassemble a fit my oil seals and dust seals. I reassembled myself using anti seize on those pesky little f'ers for easier removal later . Not to bad in the end really.
