Gotten everything off the Keihin 699A off the XL350 - except the damn mixture screw. It's soaked over a week in PB. I think there's gotta be some lacquered up fuel stuck behind it.

Need some ideas to get this thing to break free without ruining the flathead slot and having to drill it out or something.

I heated the crap out of the entire carb when I was trying to get the throttle valve "slide" out.

Will try some concentrated heat to that area in the AM, report back.

lols it's one stupid little thing after the next you get stuck battling with that thing.

definitely gonna make the final product that much sweeter though.

Tried heat? A few cycles of heat / cool / heat might help.

Heated the area surrounding the A/F screw w/heat gun, let PB boil down into the threads, let cool. Repeat 2-3 times and it stubbornly backed out, no damage to threads or needle either. Good on ya!
