So I decided to post this here to see what you guys think about my new Hawk and the progress I made...

This is the what I started with. I couldn't stand the burple color so I decided to change it.
Here are a few phone pics.

So I started to take her apart. I found a good color for it! I prepped the tail piece first and sprayed the base coat. Then I gave it a wet sand and sprayed the clear.

Then I did the tank and put the front together. Also painted the forks a matte black. Its starting to look like a bike again. I am soo close to finishing!

Put it all back together and here she is! I also ditched the stock mirrors and went with a round bar-end mirror. I'll get a pic once we have some better weather! This Chicago weather sucks!!

Looks good man. Much better. Im not a big fan of that copperish color (reminds me of a chevy cavalier for some reason) but your work is exceptional.

Yeah, looks great, I am a big fan of the NT650's. Cool Bikes, and the single sided swinger is sick!!! Only issue I see is that rotor. Did you use Hig temp paint? They get pretty warm under hard braking, and if the paint is not hi temp treated it will flake off... I did my rotors on my dirt bike and they were fine in the dirt, no real problems. Then I took it to the street with a sumo setup up. The increased braking on the street heated my rotors up and the paint came off... just my .02

Yeah I thought about that... It might just happen but in any case, I am gonna get new rotors next season. ;D

Nice bike seems like I've seen that color before. ;) I like the bike I guess I've never seen that bike before, or at least payed attention to it anyhow cause that engine is sweet nice tight radiator and a v twin. looks good.

I have a Hawk GT also. Neat bike for sure. I'm hoping to have mine back on the road in a few weeks. It's getting fresh paint and I just put F3 forks, front wheel, and the Ducati Monster seat should be here Friday.
