I am looking to get some sock-style Unifilters for my 71 T250 with new VM26 carbs. I have cheapy pod filters on it now as the air box was missing. Because I have no air box and the engine was bored out 1.0mm, I have a fairly rich 124 main jet installed. I am breaking the new engine in and did not wish to run it lean. However, the pods do not flow well and when I run it around my development with the filters off (for just a short time in non-dusty conditions) it runs pretty well as jetted.


I was looking at the sock filters because the are cheap and perform well on two-stroke dirt bikes. I figured they would work well on my T250 road bike. The smallest inside diameter they make is 1.5". Do you think that size would fit my Mikunis ok?
 
I was not home when I wrote this and was hoping to order this afternoon. I measured when I got home and 1.5 inch should work. I test fitted a 1.5 inch Fernco coupling and it fit, but a little big.
