Maritime Biker said:You should see when they shave the wool, and leave the hair on their heads, they look like they got crazy dreads. We just saw one at the city Family X-Mas party. We run the zoo and they bring some of the animals for the kids to pat etc. They brought one of our Alpacas and he had just got his hair cut. looked crazy. I didn;t get any pics though.
Cheers,
Maritime.
hopterfixer said:As the name implies I am a Helicopter mechanic. I am charged with the care and feeding of an EMS helicopter (BK-117 to be exact). I love my job.
Kanticoy said:I'm a cot jockey. In the name you'll know it as, I'm a paramedic.
10 years in the field in a high call volume rural environment. I just got certified as a certified flight medic and a critical care transport specialist. I'm shooting for doing air medical transport (flight medic). It's always been my dream.
10 years of being overworked and underpaid. But I wouldve quit a long time ago if I didn't give me some gratification and make me feel purposeful. Can't imagine doing anything else.

"Hey Merle....watch this!"

Here ya go Yinzer
This is Max one of my favs
Yep it was a Suri, brown and white. They have both at the zoo but I think tey brought him because he was smaller.troybilt said:Don't mean to hijack. Hey Maritime, There are two breed types. Could have been a Suri (Longer fleece looks like dreads) We raise Huacayas which have a tighter fleece.
Here are what suri look like
Here is Max again this spring after being shorn. Don't anyone tell Max I posted this. He was trying to hide until it grew back.
Hilarious
Kanticoy said:Heck yes man, we rely on you to keep us in the air when we need to be! We use Bell 206's here. Man they're cramped! I have to admit, I'm jealous of the BK-117 guys.
hopterfixer said:We love our BK. Who do you work for, Lifesaver?
HEMS is a small world.Kanticoy said:Yep. Full time ground transport, part time air. Looking to transfer to air full time....if you know about lifesaver, where are you?
