Alright harness is done to the battery tray and stator wires to R/R are done. Next I'll mount the components and start making those connections to all the components in the tray. So close to the end!
Fixed the stuck float and got the dyna ignition dialed in. She's a runner and it finally moved under power for the first time since about 1988! Got some little stuff left and will dial it in but I'm soo pumped!
Thank you! The hoops are 36 spoke mx wheels, stainless buchanan spokes & Nipples and stock hubs powdercoated satin black. The front went straight on, the rear the holes had to be angled to work with the drum brake hub.
Well shake down went pretty good. Gota get some plug chops in. Hesitates around 6k but once through it she's scoots. Also got one float that is hanging up I'm gonna have to deal with. She is getting there.
Been slow to post updates. Got the bodywork all cut and buffed out. And made a battery hold down. My Tannermatic carbon front fender arrives this week and then I'll make the rear hugger shape so Tannermatic can do it out of carbon for me
Put a few more miles on the 400. Going to change the oil this weekend. Got some aluminum coming and some carbon to see which looks right for the hugger
Well got a direction for my rear hugger. Was considering cutting and polished a piece of aluminum and mounting it to the rear frame rails but I didn't like the idea of covering all that area up. So decided on a carbon fiber hugger mounted to the swinger. This is just for an idea. The new ktm 390's have a hugger very similar that should work for me. Updates coming soon
Alright got my hugger mocked up and shipper out to Tannermatic to make it out of carbon for me. Changing the oil and rechecking rocker clearance. Also figured out the issue I was having with my speed hut gauge. The plug wires weren't shielded and were causing
