Okay for PB Blaster and Oil to Mix?

Hey everyone - first post here. My bro-in-law and I are working on getting a stock 1974 Honda CB200 up and running. Since the bike has sat for over ten years, we decided to take a few precautions before just trying to start it up.

We removed the two spark plugs and injected 20ML of PB blaster into each cylinder head to let it sit for a week. We then got anxious and changed the oil…and realized last night that the extra PB blaster is probably draining down into our nice, clean oil.

So here's the question - can we just run the bike with 40ML of PB blaster mixed in with the oil or should we change the oil again before attempting to start it up. I know Marvel Mystery Oil can be mixed with oil as an additive - but is PB blaster safe to do so as well? Thanks!

I haven't tried it, but I don't expect it will do too much damage. PB Blaster is basically naphtha and crude oil. Marvel Mystery is also a napthenic hydrocarbon mixed with mineral oil, so it's probably not that far off.

Don't risk the engine for 2 quarts of oil....I'd change it.
