    1978 Honda CB550F Part Out!!

I do have some pictures but can't figure out how to upload them so if you guys could help me with that you can see the bike. The bike is also located in Southern NH close to MA and ME if anyone is interested in coming to take a look at it in person. We can work something out that way as well.

    1978 Honda CB550F Part Out!!

I am using the front wheel and brake setup for another project so that is unavailable but the forks are in ok shape and are usable with some cleaning up. The carbs are in good condition but I do not know if the jets in there are the stock jets if that matters to you.

I have the coils and all the spark plug wires as well as the brackets to mount them. Once I get some free time I will test them out to make sure they are good.

    CB350/CX500 Forks

I have a 1970 CB350 and found a set of 1980 CX500 forks, axle, and trees. I already checked all balls and they make a conversion kit, but they mention that all they do is ID and OD but that the actualy stem length may be too long. Does anyone have experience or know of any previous threads...

    De-Tabbing and Welding Frame ?'s

I wouldn't be doing it, my "I don't have much fab experience" statement was why I'm asking the question. I don't have the knowledge or experience to make the call myself and I didn't wat to go to a weld shop and waste someones billing hours asking questions. Figured I'd throw it out there to see...

    De-Tabbing and Welding Frame ?'s

I figured that becasue it's so visible and would really clean the frame up to cut it off, and I didn't think it would distort the frame but haven't seen anyone do it so I was leery becasue I don't have much fab experience.

    De-Tabbing and Welding Frame ?'s

Ok so I'm about to start working on my CB350 frame, and plan on doing the de-tabbing of the usual tail section and side cover mounts. But was thinking I've never seen anyone cut off the stamp marks on the "back bone" where the 2 stamped pieces and spot welded together. I don't know if thats a...

    fuel line question

Your in luck if it's the one issued to a Honda service dept. That goes way more in depth then any Clymer or owners manual. But it does not give you obvious answers because it kind of expects techs to have some idea of what their doing. If this is your first bike read as much as possible it...

    Questions -- moving to Massachusetts

I live in NH and the shop I work at sells alot of bikes to MA, most of the time we there just needs to be a previous registration and atleast a bill of sale to register in MA. Depending on the year that may differ, I know in NH after I think 15 years you only need a bill of sale for anything...
