I had the same issue. I cut a hole in the seat pan and am hiding the bubble under seat foam. That was my quick solution. But I only needed an extra inch and a half. I was advised not to mess with the suspension unless I wanted an inferior finished product. There are a lot of smart guys on here...
My boss lost the key to his GZ 250 outside his bar. i really hope i didn't sweep it up closing that night :o Its been sitting outside about a week now and he keeps asking me if the key has turned up. I told him i'd help push start it, and that's when he told me the steering is locked too...

Oh yeah. I'd never offer what they're asking. It's cool. But it's not 1200 cool. Plus he admitted to having timing issues.

I've taken your advice and I'm cutting in to the pan. So from no load to scraping the frame I have 3.7 inches of travel for the shocks. I'll have to do some more research but if that isn't enough I'll have to extent the seat loop out another inch and cut off the crossbar and move it forward an...
Purchased some stearing stem roller bearings and bolt on moped handlebars. Thinking about going with convertinging to moped wheels and possible disk brakes since all reports on the stock drum brakes are iffy at best.
