Prices are crazy in the UK

Nah, seller is deluded as to the value. £500 will buy a runner on the road. Suffice to say it didn't sell. He's selling the XR 200 motor separately for £600 which is a bit over priced for the condition. I've noticed it on a few occasions now that there are stripped down CG's where the sellers actually believe the have increased the value four fold. They never sell. Asking prices may be crazy but that's just kids not understanding the market place.

A friend (who wants me to ship him old Japanese bikes from the US in order for him to sell them in the UK) seems to think that kids not understanding the market price are both buyers and sellers. He hasn't gotten me much info on shipping, licensing, real prices paid, however, so I'll take your word for it.

The real deals are not on eBay, they are face to face. But this requires leg work and developing a rapour with sellers. The stuff I get offered in my constant trawl for an engine bares no relation to the stupid money kids want on eBay. Even on other sites like gumtree and preloved bikes are more realistically priced.

No idea on the mileage. Missing side covers. New tires and battery are a plus. I'd offer him maybe $700 cash and see where it goes.

Oh yeah. I'd never offer what they're asking. It's cool. But it's not 1200 cool. Plus he admitted to having timing issues.
