I'm not saying the drywall screws and BB's don't work but its a whole lot easier to used a chain. You get a grip on one section of chain and you can pull it out. It's a lot easier than trying to shake those remaining 5 BB's that just wont find their way back out ;D

Has anyone ever tried CLR in a gas tank?

I have a 81' cm400c. The stock tank is trashed with major rust holes. Anyone know if any other tanks will fit this frame with mild to no modification?

Nice start! I have what I believe is a tank from a 66 sport. Does not have the ridge that runs on top of the tank though. I may be interested in selling if you are interested.

Thanks trek. Here is a shot of the bike. Nothing but stock BS right now. Original tank is shot with rusty pinholes. Currently looking for a E model tank (or something else that fits this with only minor modification).

Are you using the stock tank on this build? I have the cm400 custom but the tank is leaking from rust pinholes. I'm curious what other tanks may be a direct fit.
