I highly recommend not using the grey coloured epdm foam. Went for a ride ~50km round trip. Mate rode it first 25km, I rode it second 25km. Damn stuff turned to rock.
My arse is still asleep... lol
Seat is currently with an motor trimmer getting a nice new bit of foam and vinyl wrapping...
On the topic of all in one gauges, I went with this option:

mounted it like this:
Oh and if you are having issue with power consumption I am...
I've had some close calls with bar ends, had to ride for a bit holding one until i could find a spot to stop and remove it and stash it. I'm running tarozzi clip ons and they have thinner wall section.
I do agree the mounting mechanism sucks a big one...
+1 for rearsets!
mmmm 6spd... I seem to always mis-judge how many gears I have and phantom shift into 6th!
Be careful when you re-assemble the cases that the bearing locator pins are properly seated. Someone didn't on the 250 I had and it busted a hole in the case... :o
Touch wood, the only leak I have had...

Seat looks mint!

Good news. I have come a lot closer to a vm30 setup that does not make me want to throw them in the bin.
Started out with 176 p8 bleed type with a 6dh7 needle and 150 main. Gave me a really boggy condition mid throttle. Next I tried putting back my primary type 159 p4 NJ and stayed with the...
Hi all, just thought I'd do a quick update on where my build ended up. It is still going and probably will continue going for a while yet. Have moved around a few times and changed jobs a few times but anyways it is still a great little bike and can't wait till I get the vm30's dialed in...
Have at it!
That seat looks familiar! Love that someone has seen the same thing I did when I moved the rear cowl forward about a foot... BINGO!
Keep at it, it is fun for the most part :-D
Things have been hectic for me lately, built a 360 for the bike and got married and stuff...
I really like my rear set positioning but it's a bit squishy for taller people. rego wasn't a prob even getting a blue slip done... Pre ADR means heaps less hoops to jump through!
Good luck, if you...
