Good afternoon all,
I have a set of rims are rusted beyond saving. I wanted to clean the rust off and powder coat. Is this advisable? Would I have to plug and cover the spoke holes so that there would not be any powder in the divots and spoke holes to break away and cause the spokes to...
Thanks for the recommendations. I went with a big crank. I looked up the LiFePO4, looks like a good battery. Ill have to wait till the price comes down a bit.
I have finally been able to get back to the starting issue after work and other issues have kept me away. I had the new battery load tested and it failed. Sending it back for refund. Can anyone give me a good replacement battery that will be better than OEM for this bike? Or just go back to...
Unfortunately not. I crossed the +/- on the starter relay and still no dice. I am thinking that my next option would be to check the starter and make sure that it is working correctly. Possibly pull it apart and clean it up.
Well I jumped the car battery and did not have any luck. I am going to recheck the starter button and make sure that I have put it back together correctly and work my way through the wiring diagram and check for bad grounds. And have the battery checked to make sure that I did not get a bad...
Hillsy,
This is the link to the battery I purchased http://www.scorpionbattery.com/powersports-batteries/ytx14ahl-bs.html It had stated that no charge was necessary so I hooked it up. I am going to jump with the car battery as Tim stated and will put the battery back on the charger? Hopefully...
I neglected to say that this bike came out of winter storage and did not have a battery tender on it through the winter. When I put it up last winter it ran fine and started well. I replaced the battery when I could not get it to take a charge. When I put the new battery in with the ignition...
I could not tell you how old the old battery was as it had come with the bike when I purchased it about 5 years ago. My charger is a trickle charger and I have used it to bring the current battery back up to full charge after trying to trouble shoot.
Voltage on new battery is 13.5 however I just checked the voltage with the ignition on at the battery and it draws down to 4.2. I am not familiar with electrical systems and this is my first attempt at trouble shooting. Since it puts that kind of draw on the battery with the ignition on would...
