I figured that phone message was from you...lohimotors was just a website / moniker that a buddy and I used for a while, thinking that maybe it could turn into a little side business. I'm actually bikeless for now...I've got a little girl and a wife and bikes just didn't fit into life, sold...
I've built them both ways. I'd buy as complete a bike as you can. You'll spend way more money trying to buy all the parts individually to make up the bike. Buy a complete bike, get it running, and change the parts you need/want to change to make it what you want it to be.
Thought I'd throw this up here, in case any of you guys know anyone looking for a good bike. I've got my CB450 roadworthy so that means one of the bikes should go...price is somewhat negotiable.

Re: My '73 CL350 Updated 6/5/10 WRECKED!!!!
I just ordered an NHK from fastfromthepast.com. Dennis, if you want to stop by on Saturday morning, that would work best for me.
Later,
Casey
Re: My '73 CL350 Updated 6/5/10 WRECKED!!!!
dennis,
I still have a ton of front end parts for that bike...a few sets of forks, triple tree, i have a speedometer, etc.
Let me know if you wanna come over and scrounge through my pile of stuff.

I don't think it's a bolt-in deal. I would personally try to find a new frame.
Your story makes me think maybe I should be looking for a steering damper for my bike...
Re: Colorado Crew!! Who's meeting up this Memorial Day weekend?
Can I get a recommendation for a good motorcycle engine machine shop in Denver? I think my TX650 needs some cylinder work.
Thanks,
Casey
Re: COLORADO CREW!!!!!! Beautiful day. So, lets ride!
Hey Dennis, are you going to the show at the Cooler tomorrow? I'm so close, I might as well drop by and check it out.
