Your bike looks super nice. I REALLY like what you did with the headlight -- I have often thought about how to do something similar, but I never quite got all the pieces lined in my mind as to how to do it -- I surely will take your idea and try to integrate it into one of my future projects.

I hope you keep the bike long enough to continue working on it, fine tuning the details and that it continues to evolve from awesomeness to further awesomeness.

Great work.

VERY nice. Love the paint and the head light. Good work.

Re: My '73 CL350 Updated 6/7/09 Fresh Paint

Yeah I'd love to see a pic of your headlight now that it's all buttoned up so to speak.
I can get an idea off the pics on page 6 but gimme more man, looks like a great job!

Re: My '73 CL350 Updated 6/5/10 WRECKED!!!!

yeesh

better than wrapped around a pole thats for sure..
glad you're ok

Re: My '73 CL350 Updated 6/5/10 WRECKED!!!!

I'm guessing your more or less OK as someone had to take pics and post them.
What happened?
Looks like something white in the back wheel?
Did it pick something up or grab something with suspension movement?
Did you just go too fast, gravel/oil on road or did someone run you off the road?
It's fixable, looks like lock stop broke off frame, they are pretty flimsy.
Tank probably took a good smack from bar/fork leg.
Heal up soon and get'r'dun :D

Re: My '73 CL350 Updated 6/5/10 WRECKED!!!!

Well, I'm in one piece. Except for a bruised ego and tailbone....... I was on my way home from work last week. When I went over some railroad tracks with some uneven patches of asphault. I ride that stretch everyday. So, I know where to slow down and avoid. I was going about 25-30 mph, when I went over the tracks. Then all of a sudden I hit the uneven section and got the craziest speed wobbles. Thank god that the bike went down a ditch instead of the other lane. Where there were semis heading towards me. I flew off of the bike and landed on my tailbone and back, and came to rest just a few feet from a telephone pole.

The bike on the other hand is pretty f**ked up, but can be salvaged.

Re: My '73 CL350 Updated 6/5/10 WRECKED!!!!

Damn man, glad to hear it's just some bruises.

If there's anything we can do, just let us know.

Re: My '73 CL350 Updated 6/5/10 WRECKED!!!!

dennis,

I still have a ton of front end parts for that bike...a few sets of forks, triple tree, i have a speedometer, etc.

Let me know if you wanna come over and scrounge through my pile of stuff.

Yikes! Heal up and fix that bike. Any you may wanna invest in a steering damper.
