Re: 82' KZ440 Cafe' Brat Build: I hate you
I got VM30's from Speedmotoco. They basically set it up based on what air filters and exhaust you're running, and exactly what model you have. I have the 81 440D belt and still running stock exhaust, so our setup probably wouldn't be exactly the same...
Re: 82' KZ440 Cafe' Brat Build: I hate you
Hang in there man. You've done a lot of solid work, and pushed that KZ farther than many would go. Granted, you've hit a streak of bad luck, but every thing you have to end up doing because of it will make you more proficient and experienced for the...
Load equalizers are usually to sort out the "4-way blink problem." I've also run into a case where both load equalizers and a LED flasher were needed to make the signals work.
Done. I hate leaving my dog home alone (at all) for fear of a house fire. It's terrible to think about.
I hope this family can get back to a normal life as soon as possible.
He's entitled to his opinion, of course. I don't mind anyone calling a bike crap, or ugly, whatever, and I'm not trying to start a keyboard war. I had a difference of opinion and I tried to retort in the wrong way. My bad. :-X
XB: my apologies.
Well, if a customized motorcycle is dangerous, people have to be big boys and girls and determine for themselves if a motorcycle is "safe" to operate before we buy or ride it. I'm more concerned about the grandelattesoccercellphonemom or bumpers being held on by bungee cords being a danger to...
^ This is correct. If you bought a flasher relay that is set up for LED's and already installed it (and still not working), you may need to also add resistance plugs. Also if you connect the wrong wires on the flasher, it will fry itself immediately, and you'll have to start over. Ask me how I...
Not a big fan of Sportster tanks, and this pair are just so/so, but I like hard tail bikes. I wouldn't want to ride one every day, but I'd love to have one as part of a collection of other types of bikes.
I think anything that has ever been on OCC is horrible, but I'm not going to go call them...
Re: 82' KZ440 Brat'Cafe'?: Seat upholstered- ready for spring!
I just read your whole build from front to back. I wanted to thank you for the details you listed in your thread that have certainly saved me a ton of time and aggravation.
My cousin and I picked up an 81 440 LTD over the weekend...
Are running lights required equipment in your state? I don't have running lights, only headlight and tail light. I've never had any issues with the police.
