thanks motorguy. Thats what had decided to do, have over sized pin made, true up the rods and over size the pin bores on the pistons. My last engine that I had not had apart yet ended up have a good crank and rods tho, so was able to use that one. the rest of the engine was scrap.
so whats really happening is a friend and myself are doing a bike each. we have got a total of 5 bike and are hoping to make 2. as of now we have 4 engines apart and have just enough parts to make two cranks minus the rods. Your are right about the build up crank, I have already pressed them...
I am using a mic and a telescopic gauge. thanks for the offer but if I am going to spend any money I will put it into new rods. that way they are fresh and new.

looks like a fun project. I am just starting something similar with a friend and we are both going for the brat look as well. our bikes are not as fortunate as yours tho. the engines are either half apart or seized. look forward to seeing how yours comes along.
Hey the bike is looking good! The larger tires makes the bike look so much more a aggressive.
What did you use for paint on the engine and was it high heat? I like the textured look. And where did you get your spokes for the rims or are they the originals.
