    CB750 Complete Newbie in AZ

Like bwald said, just do one thing at a time and enjoy the build. I'm in the middle of restoring/refitting a junkyard special myself, though progress is halted due to insufficient funds... It's easy to get overwhelmed, when that happens you just need to stand back and take a breath, then dive...

What does everyone do for their "real" job?

Army Fire direction specialist...I (trained monkey type 1) basically tell the guys in the other half of my job (trained monkey type 2) where to point the rockets, and when to shoot them. Might sound cool, unfortunately is not.

    "Thor's Hammer" 1975 XS650 hardtail

Have to say, Steve... I'm in love with the build. The rustic nature of the bike is absolutely stunning, and the amount of time/effort/detail you've put into each stage shows just how deep your passion and dedication to having something that fits your requirements perfectly. Some people have a...

    1978 KZ650B Sportstyle - Progress at last!

Well, as much as i've been dreading it, the time has come for progress to be halted on the bike temporarily. I will be gone for the next 4 months in BCT and artillery training, so the bike gets to sit in storage until my return. On the plus side, progress should be fast when I get back as I'll...

Thanks, definitely a lot of trial & error on the stance as you can probably see. Though once I switched the swingarm out it was fairly simple to get the ride height where I wanted it. Couldn't have done any of it without everybody here at DTT though.

Dunno if mine counts, being a '78 KZ650B....but it's definitely not exactly what kawi set it out to be.... also she's still in the final stages.

definitely learning the value of that stuff. have the spot putty and bondo handy for further air pockets I run into. trying to shred matting, sop up the resin and shove it into little air pockets with skewers is not as much fun as it sounds like...

    1978 KZ650B Sportstyle - Progress at last!

Alright, so I got the glasswork almost done, still working on finish sanding and such after some trial & error work on the tailsection. had to grind down and fill a bunch of air bubbles and lay a couple more layers than I was planning on in order to make it so I could actually smooth everything...

    1978 KZ650B Sportstyle - Progress at last!

Re: New reader, old rider, broke builder. Well, started in on my fiberglass molds for the tail and headlight fairing, also got my rearsets mounted, was wondering if anybody had an idea for what to use for the shift linkage, have the ends but not really sure where to find a piece of rod that's...
