I replied this to someone else in case you've searched for similar posts. My kickstart was making the same noise. It was permanently engaged and the only time the noise would stop while I was riding was when I put it in neutral. I had to replace the kickstart shaft and that solved my problem.

That meet at Laser Wolf is only once a month and I've heard from friends who've been there that it's really cool. We usually meet on Thursdays at Wood Tavern in Miami.

If you're in the St. Pete/Tampa area just go talk to the guys at Dime City Cycles. Great guys and they're always getting people together to ride. They could definitely point you in the right direction
