Grrrr... cannot for the life of me work out how to remove the metal fork covers without destroying them... anyone know?

Awsome looking bike, wasnt sure on your colour scheme early on but it looks fantastic!
Did you buy that Bell helmet from the US? Didnt think you could get them here with the right stickers etc.
The strip down continues...
The rear break drum... including a pile of earwig body parts from a spiders nest inside!
The gunked up frame... the yellow/white visible on the bottom left is a mud wasp nest!
And finally, the frame after a bit of degreasing, scrubbing and wiping down...
Have been pulling a few bits and peices off... these 70s phillips head screws are a pain, strip out so easily... i think i will replace them with allen key bolts where possible?
Plan to strip everything off and have the frame blasted and then either powdercoated or painted black.

Pulled off that ugly-arse chain guard/enclosure... full of 40 years or so of dirt, grease, dry grass and spiders!
