    Fighting a Ticket in Ontario

Well, if you think you were "unjustly or unfairly or misrepresented incorrectly" then fill your boots, by all means. I just got the impression by the start of your post that you were speeding (before you started neither "denying or confirming") but went on to suggest that the copper is somehow...

    Fighting a Ticket in Ontario

Ya, I can't speak for everyone. Some places have pretty strict policies about traffic - and they would not be very popular with local drivers. In fact, where I work, there is an expectation of 20 tickets/month for each officer. I was consistantly half of that number but it never caused me any...

    Fighting a Ticket in Ontario

That's exactly the way I feel about it too 8) Right on. That's a weird story about the laser though, I'd like to give it a read if you have the reference. I don't know what kind of laser was being used but I can tell you that I could never get a false reading if I "flinched" with a laser (I...

    Fighting a Ticket in Ontario

The information that Noel gave is excellent! He should really be commended for all the time he took to put it all together. I agree, I would never just pay the ticket - there is no advantage to it. I also agree with him about the ticket defence guys, I would go and work out a plea myself...

    Recommended painter in Calgary

Hello everyone, I know that this isn't a Calgary forum but it is as close as I could get. :) I'm planning on having the tank and sidcovers painted on my 1975 cb550f. Can anyone recommend a shop that will do good work at a reasonable price? Thanks, - Chad

    Your tank is sweet

Sweeeeet. I also like the idea of coating the tank in a protective armor like that. Doesn't look like there is a location near me though. Maybe I should plan a bike trip down there one day and just roll my whole motorcycle in the door and tell them to go to town. Be sure to post pics of the...

    Your tank is sweet

Wow - kudos to whoever the first person was who tried hardwood lacquer on their tank :o Can you buff clear-coat? It seems like the main concern would be ensuring that whatever you used stayed bonded to the tank. I have polished up certain aluminum bits on my bike and the consensus seems to be...

    My 1975 cb550f in Calgary

Thanks! I'm starting out pretty slow here and I don't have the skill to make it into a cafe seat right now... For me, getting new handle bars is going to be a big step :) You sure do some amazing work - I hope that one day my 550's as pretty as yours. By then I will probably start looking for...

    My 1975 cb550f in Calgary

Well the new seat cover finally showed up and I just switched it over. Considering that I have never upholstered anything before, I am pretty pleased with the results! When I pulled the old cover off, it was so brittle and dry that it practically fell apart. The foam didn't look very good...

    first project on cb550...

Are you serious about planning on painting the tank? I think it looks amazing as it is. Infact, when I first looked at the photos I started thinking of painting mine to look like that :o Is that color stock? What year is your bike? Keep up the awesome work, - Chad

    My 1975 cb550f in Calgary

$800 ... ya that would look pretty good on my $500 motorcycle ;D That is the main reason why I probably wouldn't do the Orange again... I think if I could find a painter here in Calgary, it would be as much, or more. That is a great idea with the touchup paint though, maybe if I find some of...

    My 1975 cb550f in Calgary

Thanks Vlk! I have heard that the Sunrise Orange is a really tough color to recreate. If I do repaint the 'bike later, I may go with the blue instead. Until then, I will just try to preserve the paint as well as I can. - Chad

    my new pipes

Those don't look like motorcycle parts... they look more like jewelry! Can't wait to see how they turn out on your 'bike. Of course, if you want to sell your old muffler to help ofset the cost... let me know ;D - Chad
