arsey is right duracote and cerakote can be done but unlike paint or powdercoating those DO NOT come off once applied. They are also very expensive. I use duracoat on my firearms about $50 for a rifled action and barrel, lot more surface aera on a moto.

Sounds like your powder coating shops suck. I've never had to chase threads. But I also powdercoat my own stuff. I use silicone plugs to keep powder from getting into threads, use capton tape on areas I don't want powder also. I've used 2 stage color change powders and clears with no issues...

I have also used a sanding block wrapped with a cloth with laquer thinner and wiped the fins about 10 minutes after paint spraying.

As Dreadrock sez fully cured paint is necessary and use fine grit sandpaper on a block to sand flat. That's how I did it.

You can get tyvek envelopes at an office supply store or the USPS mail packs though they are a bit big are made of tyvek and....free.

You can get AGM(sealed acid) batteries for fairly cheap. The one on my XS1100 was $65 and the one for my Intereceptor was $45. I think my CBT200 was less than $40 off ebay. Look into Deka batteries, high quality, high cranking amperage batteries with good warranties.

Soda blasting is great but be sure to rinse the parts with vinegar before you paint to get all the little particles of soda off the metal the soda will keep the paint from sticking to the metal. I personally bead blast then powder coat or polish.

heat or PB Blaster should loosen the rust.

damn that is cool. Never thought or ever seen an ultrasonic that big.(post pics please) I've used my tumbler that I use for cleaning my shell casings or nuts and bolts and it works great for that.
