I don't know where to post this so it is here. first I am a newbie. I bought a 1970 cl350. before tagging I decided to "work" on it. I started by taking off generator and clutch covers. I cleaned up the stator and flywheel. then I checked out the clutch cable workings. did not pay enough...

had this problem. believe it or not it was because when I put the gas tank on it was hitting the coil and grounding it out. check that out.

and after all that, he sent the wrong seals. i am about to give up.

can anyone show me with pics how to get ring out? maybe i just don't know what i'm talking about. ha ha this from a newbie. i can't get my pics to download. i saw some snap rings that are supposed to work on ebay. i didn't see any holes for ring pliers to get into. i've used ring pliers before...

TRIED TO CHANGE OIL SEALS. MANUAL SAYS TO REMOVE 44MM CLIP RING TO GET TO BOTTOM END OF CUSHION. IT DOESN'T HAVE A RING OR A SLOT FOR IT TO GO INTO. THERE IS A SCREW ON THE BOTTOM BUT WHEN I LOOSENED IT NOTHING HAPPENED. TRIED TO SEND PICS BUT SOMETHING WON'T LET ME ON MY END. THERE IS A CUP...
