TRIED TO CHANGE OIL SEALS. MANUAL SAYS TO REMOVE 44MM CLIP RING TO GET TO BOTTOM END OF CUSHION. IT DOESN'T HAVE A RING OR A SLOT FOR IT TO GO INTO. THERE IS A SCREW ON THE BOTTOM BUT WHEN I LOOSENED IT NOTHING HAPPENED. TRIED TO SEND PICS BUT SOMETHING WON'T LET ME ON MY END.
THERE IS A CUP SEAL[?] WHERE THE RING IS SUPPOSED TO BE UNDER BUT NOTHING IS THERE. NOT EVEN A SLOT.
2 THINGS. THIS IS BIKE I GOT OFF CRAIGSLIST SO WHO KNOWS WHAT PART INTERCHANGE THERE HAS BEEN.
2. IF IT DOESN'T SHOW I AM A newbie.
PLEASE HELP. I JUST WANT TO RIDE THE DANG THING.
THE CUSHION HAS THE SHORT SPRING.

THANKS

depends on what forks you have
go to bikebandit.com and find the blowup on your forks and post that, somebody then can walk you through it

On the 350s the forks seals are held in by a snap ring that fits into a groove in the fork lower. Set of snap ring pliers should remove it relatively easily. Once it's out you can compress the fork tube into the lower a couple time and give it a tug on the rebound to pop the seal loose. Once its loose you can slide it off and replace it. Be a good idea to clean up the fork tubes at the same time as well. You shouldn't need to mess with the bolt located on the inside bottom of each fork leg.

as i said in the note. it doesn't have a snap ring or a groove for one in the lower fork.
both images at the bandit and my manual show one.
what now?

sorry for yelling. force of habit. i'm
getting old and deaf.

thanks
