Okay crazypj, so what you're saying is that the kickstart gear is connected to one of the second or fifth gears in the transmission? I need to know the exact part the kick start gear is connected to. I need a part number so that i can purchase a new one and replace. There are like 5 to 6 teeth...

okay that one makes mores sense after looking at it. Sucks that its more expensive to replace. I wonder if its possible to replace it without pulling the motor and splitting the case.... :-\

Okay, so after rebuilding the engine for my 1972 CB500 Four and re-instslling the wiring harness and electricals, ive come to find that the wires arent producing spark to the plugs. Head lamp, dummy lights, turn signals, electric starter all fully functionining and fine. All plugs are brand new...

So after trial and error, i finally have the disk sorted and mounted the proper way and also came to find that i had screwed on the axel nut backwards which is why it had that play. School boy error.. Admitingly. The nut is now screwed on properly which tightened and pressed everything together...
