I posted this on here expecting something. This ia a Stupid 1980 hondamatic for gods own sake. We took one of the most UNCOOL motorcycles in the UNIVERSE and turned it into this. I have seen the local reaction. So all of ya keep lookin, but don't reply. I understand.
The scoop was left over from her dresser days. When I first got her 15 years ago I went and bought EVERY piece of chrome for a 1000 and a 1100 that would fit a 1000. Needless to say I pulled off and threw away alot of chrome about 6 months later. But the air damn went with the racer look. They...
I also have a 79 1000 dresser. I wanted a racer, cruiser, and a tourer all made from the same machine to show just how versatile it really is.
Ironically the Dresser has a split, autobot/ Decepticon logo on it. It is the rogue of the bunch. I have done more work to these bikes since the pics...
Me and two friends of mine had this old Hondamatic built from stock to hardtail, custom built the frame, in one weeks time. Electric start was removed, kicker only.
Here is one of my gl1000's. It is a 1975. I threw this together about 10 years ago, and it gets a lot of attention. I built the original version of the bike along time before folks were doing this to these. It has always been a head turner.
Been building 1000's for bout 20 years now. The green one has been in my stable for 15 years now. All but the blue wing were basket cases when I bought them. And they were all typical wings with all the touring rigs on them.
These are my GL1000's. The green cafe racer is a 75, the cruiser is a 76 LTD, and the dresser is a 79. Currently working on a few projects out in the shop with my friends.
