    1974 Suzuki GT380 - Guide a noob on a stuck engine!

Re: 1973 Suzuki GT380 - Guide a noob on a stuck engine! ;D It was a successful day guys ! Started rocking the bike back in forth with a friend. The bike started rolling, and turned out it was in neutral. It was very slow to move, and we really had to use some force to get it to roll. So that...

    1974 Suzuki GT380 - Guide a noob on a stuck engine!

I have never dealt with a bike with a stuck engine before, so I apologize if some questions are pretty basic. I am looking for advice how to tackle this project, and see if I can get it going I picked up a 1974 Suzuki GT380 and the engine appears to be stuck. I was told the bike was sitting 8+...

    Let's see your Michigan rides

1970 Honda CB350K2. After a couple months of tinkering, this is what she looks like at the moment. Sure she could be cleaner, but I'd rather be able to ride her first ;) .

1970 CB350 - Loss of power on left cylinder

Bike is running better and better. Got her running somewhere around 7,000rpm and got her up to 60 in a hurry down a nice stretch of road here in MI. Only last little issue that I can think of is that I'm not getting power from my right carb until I'm pulling over 2,500-3,000rpm, and then it...

Installed Universal Coils on CB350 - blowing fuses

Thanks for the reply. The prongs were barely touching the original mounts and were grounding out. Wrapped them up good and relocated them. I now have great spark ! 8)

1970 CB350 - Loss of power on left cylinder

Quick update. Found the coils were grounding out, and fixed it. Great spark now, but still the loss of power. Going to recheck the timing, and post some results. I switched my carbs with my buddy's running cb350, and had no effect on the power. With the new coils, I can rev to about 5000, which...

Installed Universal Coils on CB350 - blowing fuses

I ordered and installed some universal coils from this link, along with new coils and boots onto my cb350 http://www.speedmotoco.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=03010 As soon as i turned my key to on, it blew my fuse. I replaced the fuse, just to make sure it was good, and it kept doing the...

1970 CB350 - Loss of power on left cylinder

Purchased 2 new universal single lead coils as well as new wires and plugs. Everything is on the bike and tested it getting a spark on both sides. Problem now is that I keep blowing the fuses!!

1970 CB350 - Loss of power on left cylinder

Ok, Adjusted the valves to spec as well as the timing. Spark on both plugs but the weird thing is now there is power out of the left side but the right side is not getting hot now ??? :-\ . Crazy thing I say, starting to think if it's not coil or fuel related, although there is fuel going to...

1970 CB350 - Loss of power on left cylinder

Thx for your quick reply Foundation, When I take off the carb(s), there is sign of fuel in the lower carb bowl, so I am not sure that it is fuel related necessarily, what do you think?!?

1970 CB350 - Loss of power on left cylinder

I’m fixing up a barn find that’s been sitting for a long time, since 83 I believe. Spent the last 2 months cleaning and redoing the gas tank (3 step process), new battery, ''new'' plugs, condenser, points, coils in working shape, new fuel lines, soaked and cleaned carbs spotless. All the...

    Greetings from 48307, MI

Hi Dan, Thanks for the welcome! I have been cleaning her up, testing and re-doing some of the electrical, nothing major. Mostly I want to get her ready for the MI summer so I can rider her to work and back and of course around town ;) . Turns out that there is a bike fest every Tuesday night at...
