    Blue Haze - a two-stroke miscellany

The bike has generic proportions of a vintage 50cc motogp with a honda hobbit moped engine. Add a modern watercooled cylinder to bump the hp from 2 to 12. The tank and seat are steel. Front brake is from an early kz400, forks are pw80. All tubing is chromoly. It's a pig at 145lbs but it...

    Blue Haze - a two-stroke miscellany

Know the signs of pre-ignition and detonation before its too late. If the motor doesn't seem happy it'll let you know one way or another. A $3 colder heat range spark plug turned into a $300 top end.

'75 suzuki gt250...Buzzing around the block

After having some fun on my 87 fz700 last year I decided to get out of the 2 stroke game and dabble into 4 strokes. A friend of mine had an 86 ninja 250 and was selling cheap. Heres what it looked like: This is after I swapped the rz350 front end and rear wheel: And this is what it...

'75 suzuki gt250...Buzzing around the block

yep, you're right. I've picked up a new bike and trying to keep it funded from past projects. You'll really like the powerdynamo ignition, considering how much hassle I've had from condensors going bad and shoddy rectifiers. I'm glad its going to another dtt member. Joe

Throttlebody setup, coils for DIY fuel injection

I'm making some room in the shop and my fuel injection project hasn't been touched in a while. I've got this modified set of yamaha r6 throttlebodies and aluminum adpaters that would fit directly onto suzuki gt250/t350 cylinders, and would be very close on the yamaha rd bikes as well. It has a...

'75 suzuki gt250...Buzzing around the block

Yep, I've been putting some miles on it. Its put away for winter, but I've already got the engine pulled. My plan is to pin the heads(center the squish), block and remove the cylinder oil lines(keep the crank bearing oil lines), and a few other little things. As for the rest of the bike, I've...

    Do Condenser go bad easily?

I've purchased generic points/condensor kits off ebay for my suzuki gt250. They lasted about a month untill I started dropping a cylinder. I replaced it with one from a volkswagen beetle and fixed that. Not two weeks later the other one went. I've got a powerdynamo system now. I do not take...

    SOHC CB750 fuel injection conversion??

I highly suggest you stick with well tuned carbs before dropping $1200+ on the fuel injection equipment just to say you can. Take that cash and invest in better forks, shocks, and brakes.

    Check your tires... or else...

That reminds me to pull a tire off and put an extra layer of electrical tape around the spokes.

    GT250/T250 Ignition Timing

Check out this thread and scroll down to my reply#4. It'll explain how to use a light for setting the timing. http://www.2strokeworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=12211.msg92172#msg92172 Considering you're using the stock timing marks when looking through the stator plate, you won't need to find...

What car manufacturers still make, no frills, bare bone cars?

mid/late 2000's model mazda 3's have manual windows. No one makes 13" tires anymore. I upgraded from 15's to 17's on my fiero and even 17's are getting small. 18-19" rims are becoming standard now on many vehicles. I personally wouldn't buy a car based only on how little options it has...
