I've got a 1982 CB650 to part out or sell as a whole. Located in Georgetown Ontario. It's got a full exhaust on it (I think it's a wolf exhaust?) It's complete, but ugly as sin. The engine only has under 6,000 kilometers on it. This bike has been stored for years, and it's biggest problem...

Well, time to move on to the next project. I finished the seat cover, just in time to sell it off. At least it went to a good guy. I just couldn't justify having two bikes right now, after having just bought a house. Oh well, there's always another project :)

I thought that caliper and rotor looked a little familiar. I've been helping my buddy fix up his XS this past winter. Projects looking good!

I worked my way from the center out in concentric circles, with templates just as your doing. Worked fine for me, give it a go. If you need a little sharper forming for the knee indents, use a hammer after you've dished it with the mallot. ;)

I used a rubber mallot on mine. I'd try that rather than the hammer; seems to dimple a little too much. This way there's a lot less bondo needed. Your build is really coming along quick! :)

Your project is looking good. What master cylinder is that, and what year CB are the forks off of?

Looks great, but I still think that headlight is absolutely horrid...

looks are one thing, but to be a true cafe it's got to be nimble and go like snot. Virago doesn't go...

Pick up an old electric oven for cheap, and use that. It's what most guys do. Don't quote me on it or anything, but it's around 450` for like 15 minutes, so it's not in there for long. I've been thinking of doing the same thing with my old electric, you can fit a set of wheels in there. ;)

It honestly doesn't matter. You could have one up, and one down, and it wouldn't make any difference. As long as they seat properly, and they don't bind at all, it's no big deal.

There should be an off setting on your fuel petcock. you won't have to drain the tank.
