Here's the plug. I got a compression tester today, but it's the wrong thread size so I couldn't check it.

Not my cafe racer, but I figured you guys would know enough about vintage motors to give me some help. I just rebuilt the entire motor and carb. The bike fires up perfect and runs fine on the stand. Idles nicely as well. The problem is there is no power when I ride it. First gear works...

got my bike going again finally. here's the carnage that i pulled out of the motor. my guess is one of the cam sprocket bolts backed out, locked up the top end, broke the timing chain, cam sprocket exploded, bent the tensioner bracket and 3 valves. luckily i was by my house and wasn't going fast.

i was thinking the same thing! especially with baggy shorts on. cool bike though!

yeah, there's not enough resistance i believe. the stock blinker relay has a little spring that heats up and cools off to make it blink. you can get an inline led resistor, or do what i did and order a led flasher relay...
