I read that review as well. I guess I kind of just assumed since they rode so many bikes and had these awesome powers of observation that they would be able to notice all these things that I wouldn't. That I would have the kind of "standard" experience.
Guess not.
CJ: How's your new(to you)...
Nope, sorry I haven't. The dealership didn't have one available for demo. I would take 66replica's word for it though. The Thruxton is well loved and seems like a lot of dealerships can't keep them or the a1 bonnevilles in stock long.
@66replica:
You have a build thread for your Thrux...
Yea, you're not just whistlin' dixie.
I had a seat cushion made to what I thought were "exacting" specifications.
Turns out the dude sucks at this job, but he did give me a good start.
Fast forward and I still ask my wife to whip out her sewing machine and fix the damnable thing.
I had my Bonneville at the dealer for the 500 mile servicing (I know, I know, but I don't run my own computer and they can hook it up and tell me that it's been properly broken in and all that jazz. ANYWAY) this weekend.
While I was there waiting around they let me Demo both the Triumph...
My seat was used for all of 150 miles before it went on the shelf. I am STILL waiting on the custom seat cushion i had made to BE customized.
What experience I did have on it was solid. Not much fanciness you can put into a plastic part, but it did its job.
Dig the natural stone. I've got an ass ugly fireplace too, just can't find the time to redo it. Just refinished a bathroom. Time to take a break (and work on the bikes).
One of these days I swear I'm gonna have time to ride instead if work on this damn house.

The warrior dash is hard. Good luck!
Heard of the Tough Mudder? I'm training for that right now. It's insane, but there's beer at the end.
