I think it's awesome teaching your kid to weld.......because I weld a lot. Only thing that makes me cringe is the no gloves. No lectures from me but I have had to many mishaps, where heated metal has a mind of it's own and decides to pop like firecracker.

So far.......if you prep the tank.....ie strip a gas tank to bare metal. With a minimum of 5 tanks I give to him to be chromed, brass or nickel plated. " he will charge us at the very least 500.00....I can probably talk him down to about 450 to 400. I have shopped around, a tank like Noel's 750f...

AS for the viking tank. I saw it. I was going to buy it, but I was looking for a THOR....god of thunder helmet to match it.....SOB! I couldn't find one to match the tank.
