This is the best photo I have at the moment. You can sort of see that there is a small threaded tube welded to the downtube.

Here's a quick update. It's starting to look like a proper bike again but we still have quite a bit of work left to do.

It's been a while since my last post but we've made some progress on the frame. It's still unfinished but I wanted to give you guys some pics to look at.

Here's a photo of what the swingarm (motor) mount looks like on the ducati. We may not need outside bracing if the "backbone" is braced appropriately.

@xb33bsa - Yea good call, it's definitely going to be around 3" but we won't know for sure until the frame modification is complete. Since it's a relatively short bike to begin with, I think the wider rear tire will effect the handling more so than the 3" extension. I'd love to hear some first...

@neevo - Thanks! I'm with you on the bulky swingarms on the tubular frames. I also agree about the tank although we are still tossing around some different ideas for the tank. Tank TBD. @1969Honda - The wheel is a 17x5.5. It's pretty damn wide but looks great from the back. The tire is a Shinko...

Suddenly I'm doubting my new build

@1969Honda - Thanks! You can check out the thread here -> http://www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=56358 The shock is the stock ducati monter shock that goes with the swingarm.

I'll start off by giving a light intro about the bike and the way this thread is going to go. The bike is a ’69 CB350 K0 that I picked up about 6 months ago. It ran fairly well when I got it so I cleaned it up a bit and rode it around all summer. It was a blast and I really fell in love with the...

Suddenly I'm doubting my new build

@Finnigan - Thanks! It's very much a work in progress. Currently it's just in a mockup state right now. It's going to take quite a bit of frame modification to make it work. I'll be posting more when I start the build thread.

    Another Northern Virginian

Hey guys, I've been lurking for a while and decided it was time to make an introduction since I'm starting a build. I just recently got my first bike after being a car guy for the last 10 years. I love riding and I'm kind of pissed at myself for not getting a bike sooner. My current project is...

Suddenly I'm doubting my new build

I definitely think you should keep going with the SSSA. Here's a shot of my 350 with a Ducati Monster S4R swingarm very similar to the MH900.
