Rims are 18" Tires are Avon Roadriders. 90/100 rear. 90/90 front. The whole wheelset was built by Woodys Wheel works and they recommended this particular setup to stay close to stock.

Ongoing project: converting CB350 tachometer to take digital input

Yes, the probe engineering unit does offer output. That is what I'm using for this current iteration of the tach. Maybe I should be a bit more clear here. My intent was to release the code and specs openly and allow for people to contribute their improvements to it.

Ongoing project: converting CB350 tachometer to take digital input

Hi all, Yeah this is a old thread. I decided to check to see if there were any updates on it since I last posted. I've gotten the tach on the bike, and it largely works, but there's some signal noise coming in that I need to filter out, that wasn't entirely accounted for when I was going...

    66mm bore CB350 VM30 Jetting

I've got a 350 with vm30 and k&n air pods. i'm also at sea level. best setup i have arrived at so far is 150 main, 50 pilot, 2.0 air, 6F0 needle. strong punch all the way to redline. but seems to have trouble idling.. braking hard (especially when descending an incline) can cause the...

CB350 Camshaft installation? Am I doing it wrong?

I remember when putting the cam back on I had to apply a bit of manpower. I believe on one of those timing cover ends, there is some material that is machined away at a slight angle so that it allows the cam to go into at an angle. It has been over a year since I put my camshaft back in the...

Ongoing project: converting CB350 tachometer to take digital input

I just finished working out a sporadic issue where the needle wouldn't return to zero. I also repackaged it so that the computer is now inside the tachometer housing as well, and there are just three wires to hook up. the 5V+ power, GND and the input wire for the tach signal. I got a 12V to...

Ongoing project: converting CB350 tachometer to take digital input

you've summed up my thoughts exactly. it was a lot more work, and effort than just buying some aftermarket tach. but theres just that intangible, irreplaceable feel of quality. makes me think of that book, 'zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance'.

    1973 Honda CB350 G Wiring Problems

you cut the wire to test them out? do you have a multimeter? that's going to go a long way in helping you diagnose issues, and you can avoid needing to cut wires...

Ongoing project: converting CB350 tachometer to take digital input

So I've got my CB350 setup with a pretty sweet electronic ignition system that offers a tach-output wire. While I *COULD* have picked up a newer, more modern tachometer that took a digital input, the truth is.. I really like the way the stock tach looks. I think it's such a classic, defining...

CB350 wanting as much power as my wallet can afford.

how about cutting some 20-30 pounds off the bike (remove unnecessary crap and lighten some stuff) then go on a diet and lose 10+ more yourself. thats gonna be a lot more bang-for-the-buck than trying to wring 2hp from the engine.
