My first attempt at building rear sets failed miserably. I was trying not to buy a 'universal kit' but I might have to. Mine look aweful and function marginally. Oh well, it's still progress even if it is a failure. Edison is my hero!

Build my post count for what? I think I'm lost. I just finally am able to get back to the build. Sorry to have offended. :o

due to major health issues, the bike has sat untouched for almost 2 years. but, my health is coming back and i hope to convert the seat to something a bit less cumbersome over the winter and i also plan on getting the HUGE front signal lights off and replaced with some little units i picked up...

I will be cutting down the stocker exhaust here this next week! Anything to make this muffin top look thinner!

I got the plate light mounted tonight... that LED sucker is bright up close! I also mounted the electronic flasher relay and have signals that work. Tomorrrow I will get the new front signals mounted. Progress is fun!

Well, as you will see in the pictures, this is not your ultralight, finesse build. It is based on a GL1100 and though I am trimming things down, it is NOT going to be light. I have done most of the mods already. I have a set of small front signals to add this weekend and a plate light too...

Since I asked, I'm now 44 :o

My daughter knows how to keep me humble. She has named the bike, "Blueberry Muffin" and older daughter liked it, so the name is gonna stick :o

front fender is in paint... just needed to mount it before the rain comes. >:( i have to get the rear fender off and prepped for paint, but the rain is gonna get here before I can.

i'm not sure if i should go with some really small front signals or switch to earlier GL round fronts. the rear won't have any at all since they are integrated into the stop lamp.

Barber is a great museum, I spent 3 days there!

more changes... :P couldn't handle the yellow anymore.

going with an unlabelled light i spent enough time working on what went where that i had to recharge the battery :-[ did you know that GL's use green wires for ground? i do now!
