Got the head off today, in order to switch the valve springs around. Got a good look at the top of the pistons and the bottom of the valves. There is definitely a fair bit of carbon on both! What does everyone think?

I am having a really hard time sourcing a new headlight assembly. I am looking for either a 5 3/4 or 7" headlight assembly with a 35/35w bulb. I have been searching for a while now and can't seem to find anything. Dime city has a whack of headlights but they all seem to be 55/65w bulbs...
For real? The PO must have done this because it was like that when I opened it up. Guess Ill have to go out and get a valve spring compression tool and etc.

Hey all
Well I managed to have my first major setback today. I overtightened the bolts on the bracket that holds the cam chain tensioner in place. Both bolt heads sheared right off. Not sure how I managed to be such a moron but, I guess it happens.
I am hoping they can be salvaged by drilling...
